Established in early 2007, CORE Surveillance is a California State Licensed Contractor (CA Lic# 942002) based in Monterey County, CA
We design and install complete security and communications systems for organizations across the California, ranging from small businesses to multi-building campuses, public agencies, hospitals, and housing developments.
We specialize in custom video surveillance, access control, the underlying network (hardwired, wireless, and fiber), dedicated internet, and VoIP telephony. This single-source approach eliminates the confusion and complexities by centralizing both design and deployment.

How we work
Every CORE project begins with a site assessment. We evaluate pedestrian and vehicle circulation, lighting conditions, liability exposure, operational workflows, and any insurer or regulatory recording requirements. From there, we work directly with you to define the specific outcomes the system needs to deliver—coverage priorities, access rules, retention policies, remote viewing requirements, and day-to-day operational needs. The final design is built from those discussions and observations, not from a standardized package.
We integrate complete technology stacks: video surveillance, electronic access control (including door and gate systems, callboxes, and intercoms), structured network design and cabling (hardwired, wireless, and fiber), dedicated internet service, and VoIP telephony. Because these systems are interdependent, having a single licensed contractor design and install the entire solution eliminates coordination gaps and accountability issues.
As a California State Licensed Contractor, we are qualified to perform public agency, healthcare, and institutional work. These environments impose documentation, retention, chain-of-custody, and procurement standards that consumer-grade providers are not equipped to meet.
